About the Item

The length of the necklace is 22 inches (56 cm). The size of the faceted beads is 10 mm. Beads are a hand-faceted, deep-saturated, uniform color. The color of the beads is authentic and natural. No thermal or other mechanical treatments were used. The necklace is fastened with a silver handmade clasp with faceted natural garnet. The beads knotting is traditionally done with silk thread, placing a knot between each bead to prevent them from rubbing against each other. The weight of the necklace is 81 grams. Almandine garnet, also known as almandite, belongs to the vast group of garnet gemstones. The word 'garnet' is derived from the Latin word "granatus," which means grain, because many garnet deposits appear as small grains of red crystals in their host rock.
