This sterling silver Pine necklace was featured in Vogue UA and Another magazine UK. The inspiration behind the pine collection derives from Japanese and Chinese ink painting, where pine silhouettes are elegantly depicted. Traditionally, the pine tree symbolises longevity and strong relationships, as each pine needle consists of two needles, growing from one bud. The necklace showcases a contrast and combination of dark and bright shining parts of silver.
Designed by Polya Medvedeva, this necklace showcases a play between lines and spots, achieving balance between chaos and order, a principle of Asian ink calligraphy. It's a great contemporary jewellery piece that adds sparkles and attractive curves with a new approach by the artist.

Polya Medvedeva launched her contemporary jewelry line in 2010. She lives and works as an oil painter in Berlin, Germany. Her inspiration is rooted in the aesthetic theories of Xie He, a Chinese theorist from the 5th century. Her designer jewelry combines the precise work of professional fine jewelers with a rich history of being in the market since the 19th century, along with new sculptural ideas by the artist herself. Polya's pieces are featured in Vogue UA, Harper’s Bazaar UA, Another magazine UK, and other publications. One of Polya's notable admirers is the German actress Anne Ratte-Polle, who selected her jewelry to wear on the red carpet of the Berlinale Film Festival.
