18 Karat Gold Transformer Drop Pendant Necklace with Diamonds and Amethyst
About the Item
This 18 karat yellow gold Plum Blossom pendant necklace has a modern design with a removable amethyst and is encrusted with three round diamonds. It's part of a jewellery collection that has been featured in Vogue UA reviews. The cabochon amethyst can be exchanged for other gem drops, and the piece is custom hand-made.
The design of the petals adds extra highlights to the gold, creating a brighter play of light. The diamonds provide delicate blinks. This limited edition jewellery piece is part of the artist's collection, designed by oil painter Polya Medvedeva from Berlin.
It is also available in white, rose, or black gold, and can be ordered with different gemstones such as garnet, rose or chocolate quartz, citrine or topaz. The plum flowers symbolize the energy of life, and the plum trees bloom very early at the end of winter. Polya Medvedeva launched her contemporary jewelry line in 2010. She lives and works as an oil painter in Berlin, Germany. Her inspiration is rooted in the aesthetic theories of Xie He, a Chinese theorist from the 5th century. Her designer jewelry combines the precise work of professional fine jewelers with a rich history of being in the market since the 19th century, along with new sculptural ideas by the artist herself. Polya's pieces are featured in Vogue UA, Harper’s Bazaar UA, Another magazine UK, and other publications. One of Polya's notable admirers is the German actress Anne Ratte-Polle, who selected her jewelry to wear on the red carpet of the Berlinale Film Festival.
