Art Deco, Diamond and Sapphire Sautoir Necklace with Detachable Brooch
About the Item
Timeless Art Deco diamond and sapphire sautoir necklace. A sautoir is a French term for a long necklace, chain, ribbon, or scarf that suspends a tassel or other ornament. The necklace is made in platinum and is in mint condition. This piece can be work with or without the ornament. There is a small "screw like closure" that detaches the bottom piece from the necklace. The botton can be worn as a brooch/pin. The brooch is beautifully made with diamonds and sapphires.
There is an estimated 10.00 carats total weight in diamonds. The center diamond on the brooch is an old european cut diamond weighing an estimated 0.50 carats.
