About the Item
Artisanal Tricolor Nailhead Chain attributed to Artwear, NY circa 1980's. Hundreds of nail head "buttons" are strung in a repeat pattern of clusters of silver, brass and copper. Necklace is unsigned but possibly designed by Ted Muehling.
The Artwear Gallery was founded in the 1980's and showcased the works of leading jewelers such as Robert Lee Morris and Ted Muehling amongst others. It was the premier source for new talent in the jewelry field. 1980's NY, 42" x .35".
Please note chain does not go around 2x as shown as there is no closure.
