    The defining flourish of a festoon necklace is the drama of its swag, opulently undulating and accenting the collarbones in radiant sparkle. Festooning has been used since ancient times, with the most recent celebratory example adorning the city of London at the Coronation of King Charles. In classical Greek and Roman architecture, the festoon was a garland of ribbons, flowers, fruit, or foliage draped between two supports, used as decoration and, at times, the symbol of saintliness, glory, or victory.
