An exceptional, fine and impressive vintage French import 18 karat yellow gold collarette necklace; part of our diverse vintage jewellery and estate jewelry collections This exceptional, fine and impressive vintage gold necklace has been crafted in 18k yellow gold. The anterior portion of the necklace is ornamented with four tapering wirework decorated segments, each flanked with rope twist decorated borders. The segments articulate and envelope a broad spiga-style yellow gold chain. This substantial gold necklace secures to the reverse with a push fit clasp, and benefits from the added security of a hinged catch. The tongue of the clasp is hallmarked with the French import gold mark (owl); this mark is used for finished articles brought into France to be examined by the French assay office). This exceptional and imposing collarette has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 18 karat gold. Condition This exceptional vintage yellow gold collarette necklace is excellent quality. The necklace is an exceptional gauge of gold and is in excellent condition, with a clear hallmark to the tongue.
