About vitreuos enamel:
The inimitably luminous colours are literally created "in the fire": layer by layer, enamel is carefully fired in at 800 degrees Celsius. During guilloching, the finest wave patterns are engraved into the gold, creating a unique depth effect. Vitreous means made of glass: the ancient technique is almost forgotten today and Victor Mayer is perhaps the last manufactory to master it at the highest level.

The snake head and heart are set with four spectacular Rose Cut Diamonds of great beauty. The eyes are round cabochon Garnets of a wonderful color. The snake and heart are adorned with vivid royal blue enamel. The necklace is 14 - 16 Karat gold. The gold work on the snake is dramatic and very special.
