Antique Diamond Fringe Tiara Necklace, Silver Upon Gold, circa 1910

An antique, French, diamond fringe tiara necklace, with rose-cut diamonds in rub over settings, alternating with graduating old-cut diamond drops, with an estimated total diamond weight of 12.00ct, the back piece detaches to wear as a separate bracelet, mounted in silver-upon-gold, bearing French marks for 18ct gold. The length measures approximately 48cm.

    An antique Belle Époque diamond buckle design brooch, with old-cut diamonds, with an estimated total weight of 13.65ct, with an Edwardian-cut diamond in the centre, weighing approximately 1.60ct, in a millegrain edged rub over setting, with a flower cluster, with leaves set either side, with single rub over set diamonds above and below, with three, diamond set swags, top and bottom, hanging from the frame edge, with single diamonds set at each point, in rub over settings, with a flower cluster in the two central swags, with a diamond set curved rectangular surround, millegrain edged, with grain set diamond trefoils in each corner, mounted in silver-upon gold, circa 1890. The back frame unscrews. The diamond set front is then flexible and can be adapted to wear as a belt buckle or choker plaque. Either end of the pin is marked with an A'M maker's mark, for Abraham Metzker, Austria 1867-1922. In our opinion the diamond colour range is I to J and our opinion the clarity is VS2.     A German, Belle Époque, diamond fringed, openwork necklace, with alternating floral clusters and single, old mine-cut diamonds, with a removable diamond fringed swag, connected by a hook at each floral cluster, comprising eight old cut-diamond drops, in pear shaped mounts, with an estimated total diamond weight of 20.00ct, mounted in silver-upon-gold, in an H. Bückmann, Hannover box. Circa 1905. Hermann Friedrich Wilhelm Bückmann, was a royal court jeweller, goldsmith and silversmith, trading from Georgstraße 18, in Hanover. He was born in 1814, in Brünninghausen and died in 1866. He was apprenticed to Gustav Albert Kemnis in Hanover and then worked in Vienna, Switzerland and Paris, over a period of six years. In 1841 he received his master craftsman's certificate and on 29th June, that year, he took the oath of citizenship of the then royal seat of Hanover. He married Sophie Dorothee Täger. They had a daughter on 21st April, 1847. From 1854 Bückmann appeared in the Hanover directories as a court jeweller and independent gold and silversmith, at Leinstrasse 22. In the same year he received a medal at the First General German Industrial Exhibition, in Munich. He was also awarded a silver and gold medals for his exhibits at various trade exhibitions, organized by the Hanover Trade Association.
