About the Item
A spectacular Lotus necklace featuring a center lotus drop surrounded by multiple petals carved in Rainbow Moonstone cabochons. The pieces are set like an open blossom mosaic pattern in 22k gold. The piece is finished with a 22k hand-made gold chain with a hook closure. This piece was carved from matching rainbow moonstone rough and took more than 3 days to complete.
One of a kind.
Ancient cultures coveted moonstone and created origins for the stone as spectacular as the stone itself. Many believed the stone was created from moonbeams.. Moonstone is thought to bring its wearer good fortune and feelings of love and affection.
This piece was created in collaboration with the Gem Palace Artisans.

Ico & the Bird Fine Jewelry
Ico & the Bird Fine Jewelry was founded by designer Juliana Domenico (’Ico’) Carr and inspired by her world travels, searching for the most beautiful and unique gemstones to incorporate into her designs. Gemstones have always been a passion for the designer. She spent the first five years of her life in Brazil, a country known for some of the worlds’ most striking and rare stones, and her earliest memories were of playing with giant, loose aquamarines in her mother’s jewelry box and arranging them into designs. Working primarily in 22k matte gold and hand-picked gemstones, Juliana works with master craftsmen from around the world employing ancient gold smithing techniques in the creation of singular pieces that will be treasured for generations. Juliana holds an undergraduate degree in Fine Arts from The George Washington University. She also holds a Graduate Gemology (GG) degree from The Gemological Institute of America and Graduate Fine Arts from UCLA.
