Very large hand enamelled metal 'floral motif' necklace, Sandor, 1960s.
About the Item
A dynamic and striking necklace by Sandor in soft pastel colours of flowers falling and tumbling all round the necklace, their leaves highlighting this overall effect.
A very famous piece by Sandor from the 1960s, it is fully articulated, hence, moves easily and pliably, and has a generous extension chain to make the necklace shorter or longer. Hand painted, this necklace is a must for any Summer wear, joyous and bright.
Sandor manufactured high quality, handmade jewels from the end of the 1930s until the mid Seventies, best known for the excellence of their ‘cold enamelled’ costume jewellery, in pastel colours, often set in sterling silver with glass paste or mother of pearl, and most frequently of a floral motif/design.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. The 'width' of the necklace is listed at 4 inches, but varies (as can be seen) between 1.25 inches and 4 inches. There is some very very slight wear to small areas of the enamel but this does not detract in any way from the overall effect.
