About the Item

An impressive cultured pearl and 0.70 carat emerald, 0.10 carat diamond and 9 karat white gold single strand necklace; part of our diverse vintage jewelry collections This fine and impressive single strand cultured pearl necklace consists of forty-five individually knotted 9mm cultured pearls. The necklace secures with a 1940's 9 k white gold push fit clasp, ornamented with a feature bezel set 0.70 ct step cut emerald. The pierced and millegrain decorated clasp is further embellished with ten pavé set diamonds in a combination of eight-cut and transitional modern brilliant round. The clasp has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 9 k gold. This impressive vintage single strand pearl necklace is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card. "Rather than regarding inclusions in coloured stones as harmful, in small sizes and numbers that do not in any way detract from their beauty, they should be regarded as adding to desirability, for they provide identifying characteristics." Condition This impressive vintage pearl necklace is fine quality, set with color and size matched pearls, an emerald and very well color matched, very high color graded old cut diamonds. The clasp is a very good gauge of gold and is in excellent condition, the pearls showing some signs of surface wear in keeping with age.
