Kaunis koru Oy's Birth History.
Martta Ritvanen was ready to start her own jewelry store Kaunis Korun in 1956, where she was driven by her own strong vision of modern jewelry.
Martta loved beauty, thought boldly and designed jewelry herself and took beautiful Finnish stones for jewelry. Professor Aarne Laitakari guided Martta during Kaunis Koru in the knowledge of these Finnish jewels. Beautiful Jewelry made modern jewelry for Finnish women, but it was also held abroad. 70% of the products were exported and in addition to Helsinki, we also found our own stores in Munich and San Francisco. Women entrepreneurs had many obstacles on the way and society at the time did not support such growth efforts. Martta managed her business for 33 years and sold it to Kalevala Koru in 1998 in the absence of a successor.
