Vintage Eight-Strand Aventurine Necklace on Hand Knotted Silk Thread
About the Item
A dramatic, eight-strand necklace featuring celadon green-colored aventurine beads individually double-knotted on green silk thread with an aventurine clasp.
The eight graduated strands vary in length, the shortest measuring approximately 17 inches (43cm) and the longest approximately 24 inches (60cm). When fastened, the clasp adds another 1.5 inches (4cm) to the necklace's overall length. The aventurine beads average about 7mm in diameter, the smallest being about 5mm and the largest over 9mm. The total weight of the necklace is 176 grams.
This is an extremely versatile necklace - suitable for day or evening, formal, business or casual wear.
