New Victorian 18k Yellow Gold Yellow Italian Murano Glass Carved Intaglio Pendant A cameo, an intaglio is created by carving below the surface to produce an image in relief, with the purpose of pressing into sealing wax. Intaglios were often used incorporated into signet rings, Bracelets, and Pendant to sign and seal the wax of a letter or note. A very rare new intaglio Pendant from the Victorian era! Century based on Greek-Roman Methodology. This wonderful handmade piece is crafted in 18kt Yellow gold and features a bezel set Yellow Murano glass cameo 42x33 mm intaglio stone at the center and Sidestones Citrine 7x4 mm emerald cut and 2.5 mm round cabochon. The Murano glass carved intaglio is hand-carved with the intaglio image of the cameo shown in profile. The polished Murano glass carved intaglio has a rich, light Yellow, and soft translucence that is accentuated when held to the light.
