1930s Ruby and Diamond Yellow Gold Pendant

About the Item

An impressive 0.75 carat pinkish red ruby and 0.37 carat diamond, 18 karat yellow gold and platinum set pendant; part of our diverse antique collections This fine and impressive diamond and ruby pendant has been crafted in 18 k yellow gold with a platinum setting. The pendant has a teardrop shaped setting, ornamented with a feature 0.75 ct pinkish red pear cut ruby, surrounded by twenty pavé set old mine and Dutch cut diamonds. The central arrangement is framed by a scalloped edged design, embellished with a further twenty-three diamonds, in a combination of old mine and Dutch cuts, and three Old European round cut diamonds to the lower border of the design. The upper border of the design is ornamented with a single bezel set Old European round cut diamond. The pendant suspends from a 14 k white gold belcher chain, hallmarked with the 14 k gold fineness mark 585, via an integrated flared ring loop attachment. The ring loop is accented with three Old European round cut diamonds. This antique pendant has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 18 k gold and platinum. The pendant is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card. Images do not always reflect the true colour and brilliance of gemstones and diamonds. The video however provides a truer representation of the actual colour and showcases each stone.
