About the Item
Lovely, long pendant of 1.75 inches in glowing rubelite and sparkling genuine zircon. This gorgeous teardrop shaped rubelite is from one of our favorite vendors in the mountains outside of Rio de Janeiro. We've paired it with sparkling genuine real zircons for maximum impact. The hinged back will make this pendant so versatile, you can wear it over pearls, chains, or a scarf. The beauty of Tourmaline and its widest range of vibrant colors are blessings for October born babies. The name of this precious gemstone originated from Toramalli, a Sinhalese word, which means mixed gems. According to some Folk stories, tourmaline received its incredible range of beautiful colors because the stone traveled through rainbows, capturing many beautiful colors on the way. Most commonly found in majestic black color, tourmaline also comes in red, orange, pink, yellow, green, violet, blue, brown, and all hues in between. In addition, it can remarkably be bi-colored and tri-colored, and shifts between two different colors in dichroic form, under certain lighting conditions, or when viewed from different angles.
Here are the meanings of various tourmaline colors. Red color, for instance, evokes strong emotions. Often the shades of red tourmaline are associated with warmth, comfort, and love. Another color, Pink, is believed to cause a calming effect. The color is considered as a token of kindness. The green color, that resembles the natural world, is known for relieving stress. Out of all colors, blue is most popular because the color spikes the feelings of serenity and peacefulness.
