Ancient Ice Inuit Hand Carved Walrus Necklace in 18K
About the Item
Vintage likely Inuit hand carving of a walrus one of a kind necklace in 18K. Natural simplicity designed pendant necklace that cherishes indigenous people who protect the earth and this small collection is an homage to the North American Inuits that I have so much respect for.
The provenance of the 5 carvings that I created this small collection was discovered in 2023 when I inherited a sculpture of a scene with a variety of hand carved animals and Inuit hunter. The Walrus was designed with a strip of gold on the backside attached to 2 pegs and only glued to protect the walrus. Suspended on a cable chain keeps the focus on the carving.
The message or story this collection tells is that one should love this natural world and protect nature and simplicity. No reproductions are possible nor do I wish to produce more.
