About the Item
Antique Suffragette Necklace
15ct Gold Stamped
Circa 1910
Beautiful, suffragette piece made in support & celebration of the suffragette movement between 1890-1918.
Features a fabulous centre cross made up of a round, natural peridot & four pink tourmaline points. Framed in a beautiful, 15ct gold, heart shaped- pearl set frame with additional peridot & pink tourmaline drops.
The gorgeous pendant is suspended from a 9ct stamped trace link chain with a barrel clasp fastening.
The gemstones Pink Tourmaline, Pearl & Peridot were often used, each colour symbolising an important value.
Pink/purple stood for loyalty and dignity, white for purity and green for hope.
Chain measures approx 17 inches & width 1.2mm
Pendant measures approx height 40mm & width 25mm
All of our items are either Antique, Vintage or Preloved. They are in used condition & may show some signs of age related wear, light surface scratches or tarnish.
