Antique Swallow Pendant
Circa 1880
Pretty, Victorian 15ct yellow gold swallow pendant. A lovely conversion from a brooch to pendant. Set with pretty, natural seed pearls through his rose gold wings. His body is yellow gold, with lovely feathered detailing.
Swallows were said to represent love & faithfulness. Typically items adorned with a swallow were gifted to a loved one when they set off to sea or war. It was a reminder of the love shared and a promise to return home safely.
Pendant measures approx height 23mm & width 15mm
