About the Item

A fine Art Nouveau 0.33 carat emerald and 0.35 carat diamond, 9 karat gold heart shaped pendant; part of our diverse antique jewellery and estate jewelry collections This fine and impressive diamond and emerald heart pendant has been crafted in 9 k white gold with a 9 k yellow gold setting. The pierced decorated, heart shaped setting has an Art Nouveau design ornamented with a feature 0.33 ct step cut emerald, bezel set in relief within a 9 k yellow gold setting. The pendant is embellished with two larger bezel set Old European round cut diamonds, and seventy-six smaller pavé set Dutch cut diamonds. The 9 k white gold setting is accented with a millegrain decoration. The pendant suspends from a 9 k white gold trace chain via an integrated flared ring loop attachment, to which three Dutch cut diamonds are pavé set, graduating in size. The chain secures with a conventional spring loaded ring loop attachment, and can be worn at two separate lengths (15" and 19"). This antique 1890's Art Nouveau pendant has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 9 k gold. The necklace is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card. "Rather than regarding inclusions in coloured stones as harmful, in small sizes and numbers that do not in any way detract from their beauty, they should be regarded as adding to desirability, for they provide identifying characteristics."
