The trend for gold jewelry has been back in full swing and this has translated into antique and period jewelry. For sale one of the most desirable antique chain-necklaces we’ve been sourced this year: a refined, tasteful and elegant Victorian era 18K yellow gold necklace, featuring a flower pendant made of a turquoise cabochon and rose cut diamonds. We love the soft rounded forms of the graduated Cuban links of the necklace, which are comfortable against one’s skin. They also offer a modern look to the design and makes this antique jewelry a very wearable piece even today. The buttery gold color lightens up the tone, recalling us the warmth of the sun. The flower pendant attached to the necklace features one turquoise cabochon, it measures 8mm in diameter. It has the typical waxy surface and conveys a beautiful sky blue color. There are 12 rose cut diamonds surrounded the turquoise, which have a total estimated weight of approximately 0.6ct. The necklace measures 40cm and it weights 19g. It is stamped with the French eagle’s head hallmark for 18K gold and a maker’s mark. A few of the widest links are also individually stamped with the maker's mark. You can layer the necklace with chains from the same period, which featured various styles, or with velvety ropes, lockets, fobs and sentimental charms. All offer a wonderfully personalized look!
