The geometric design of this beautiful pendant focuses on the number 8, a number associated with infinity, spiritual balance and a symbol of new beginnings. This gold and glass frame was created in the first decade the nineteenth century out of 18 karat gold. The frame is decorated with foliage and lozenges and blue and black enamel. It is suspended from two kinds of gold chains. The inner border is finely chiseled with a zig zag ornament.
