About the Item
A pretty antique Victorian pendant from the late 19th Century fashioned in 9ct gold with a domed centre encrusted with blue turquoise and a wreath of white enamel shamrocks and further turquoise circling it.
Turquoise is considered a lucky stone that brings protection and good fortune to the wearer. It has long been associated with the shamrock which is also a good luck token and was a popular gift between friends and lovers during the Victorian era.
It’s remained in pristine condition and was originally a brooch but has been converted over time with the addition of a new turquoise studded bale at the top to create this fabulous pendant we have here today.
