About the Item
This breath-taking Aquamarine from Brazil is 79.48 cts mounted is the star of Esther Eyre's 'Reef Collection'. It's 18ct white gold coral setting is scattered with diamonds (total 0.84cts) and it hangs on an 18ct white gold 20” chain (hangs at 22”) interspersed with pieces of coral and blue topaz briolettes.
After an adventurous trip to Venezuela, Esther designed the 'Reef Collection' inspired by the natural beauty of Tortuga Island encircled by the extraordinarily coloured, coral reefs.
Using precious metals, Esther Eyre uses a palette of gemstones to create exciting blends of colour and texture, resulting in pieces that are not just jewellery but unique, timeless heirlooms.

Zykos
Esther Eyre has been designing and making precious jewellery for over twenty years. She trained at Kingston and Middlesex gaining a BA in jewellery design in 1982. Esther worked briefly in Mappin & Webb before setting up her own business in 1983. Using mainly 18 carat gold and precious stones, Esther designs and makes special commissions for a large number of private clients including members of the Royal family and international celebrities such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Tilda Swinton and Ringo Starr. Esther’s specialist knowledge of period jewellery has made her sought after for work on films such as ‘Shakespeare in Love’, ‘Ever After’ and ‘Orlando’. Although trained primarily as a formal goldsmith, Esther enjoys using the cornucopia of semi-precious stones to create exciting blends of colour and texture, resulting in pieces that are not just jewellery but a wonderful and unique accessory.
