About the Item
This contemporary Fig brooch is made of 18 karat yellow gold and features a beautiful rose onyx. The collection has been featured in editorial reviews by Vogue UA and Harper's Bazaar UA.
The fig fruit is a handcrafted sculpture made of rose onyx, depicting the sweetest southern fig growing on elegant twigs with long needles and big picturesque leaves. Figs usually have a tender green or rose tone when the fruits are green, but some turn into a dusty dark purple-black when exposed to the sun.
The elegant and accurate needle design is inspired by the traditional calligraphy principle of 'lines and spots'. This pendant is a contemporary piece of jewelry with an art nouveau attitude.
The Fig collection is designed by oil painter Polya Medvedeva.

Polya's pieces are featured in Vogue UA, Harper’s Bazaar UA, Another magazine UK, and other publications. One of Polya's notable admirers is the German actress Anne Ratte-Polle, who selected her jewelry to wear on the red carpet of the Berlinale Film Festival.
