French Bonheur Good Luck 18K Yellow Gold Lucky Charm Medal Pendant
About the Item
A French 18 karat (18K) yellow gold lucky charm pendant designed as a medal depicting a sunrise over a pastoral scene with lilies of the valley under an oak tree bearing a pair of acorns, with the phrase 'Je Porte Bonheur' (meaning 'I bring good luck').
Acorns symbolise potential, fresh starts, growth and good fortune, while the oak tree symbolises strength and wisdom. Lilies of the valley represent purity, love and luck. The sunrise represents a fresh start and a new day.
The reverse dated '1er Mai 1915'. Stamped with the eagle’s head for French manufacture and 18 carat gold and signed M. Jampolsky.
