French Pearl Ruby Tourmaline 18K Yellow Gold Transformable Antique Necklace

About the Item

Necklace in 18 karat yellow gold, owl hallmark. This important antique necklace is formed of a triple jaseron mesh chain held by a ratchet clasp allowing to wear it alone. This necklace can also be clipped to the back of an older pendant made of a gold plate finely engraved with arabesques and decorated with half pearls, rubies and gold stylized characters. A fine baroque pearl is held in a tassel at the base and can be removed. A degrees- cut tourmaline completes the decoration within a beaded claw setting. Weight of the tourmaline : 1.80 carat approximately. Total weight of the rubies : 0.36 carat approximately. Dimensions of the main pearl : 9.5 x 6 mm approximately. Length : 50 cm approximately, width of the chain : 3 mm approximately, height of the pendant : 5 cm approximately, width : 4,4 cm approximately, thickness : 9 mm approximately. Total weight of the jewel : 59,3 g approximately. Antique jewelry - French work of the 1960s for the necklace, much earlier for the pendant which has been transformed.
