About the Item
A very fine gold & diamond oval pendant by Henryk Kaston.
By repute, the pendant is meant to be a depiction of the Violin Virtuoso, Nicolo Paganini.
It features a full-figured cameo of Paginini (with bow and violin in hand) framed in pave-set diamonds in 18k gold.
Henryk Kaston was widely considered a Renaissance man and was a genuinely gifted craftsman.
He was most famous as a bow maker for violins and other string instruments. His bows have sold for as much as 6-figures at auction.
He was equally gifted as a goldsmith. He collaborator of Salvador Dali, and his jewelry is highly coveted today.
