impressive work of French artist,
gold-plated metal, enamel, glass cabochons,

very good state.
The release of the film Cleopatra in 1963, starring Elizabeth Taylor, inspired many jewelry designers to create Egyptian jewelry collections.
This magnificent necklace undoubtedly belongs to this era.
In the 60s these jewelry designers were inspired by or made replicas of the treasures that were discovered in the tomb of Tutankhamun by British Howard Carter in 1922.

voici un peu d’histoire:
La sortie du film Cléopâtre en 1963, avec Elizabeth Taylor, a inspiré de nombreux créateurs de bijoux à créer des collections de bijoux égyptiens. Ce magnifique collier appartient sans aucun doute à cette époque.
Dans les années 60s ces créateurs des bijoux ont été inspirés par ou réalisés des répliques des trésors qui ont été découverte dans de la tombe de Toutankhamon par britannique Howard Carter en 1922.
