Emerald Green Jade & Diamond Pendant Certified Untreated
About the Item
Rich, emerald-green certified natural and untreated Burmese jadeite jade has been whimsically and masterfully carved into a chili pepper with leaves. An adorable, tiny bat clings to the side of the pepper. The symbolism here is prosperity and good fortune.
The jade carving is satisfying rich emerald green with slight mottling and a line of high semi-transparency near the top, which you can see if you hold the pendant up to the light.
The 18K white gold bail is set with twenty-five bright, white round diamonds totaling .25 carats and five bright white marquise-cut diamonds that weigh approximately .20 carats.
It's a gorgeous wear-it-everyday sort of jade pendant and it's a large stone, measuring 31.4mm x 18.07mm x 5.83. So this is no thin sliver of jade. The bail has been designed to reflect the shape of the carving and there's no metal backing, the stone touches your skin. The overall dimensions are 40.89mm north to south by 19.64mm west to east.
I've photographed it in a variety of different lighting situations, so you can see how absolutely gorgeous it looks in all light.
This pendant dates from the 1980s but has never been worn and is in brand-new condition. It ships with a certificate from Stone Group Labs stating the jade is untreated jadeite from Burma (Myanmar). Note: chain not included.
