Michael Kneebone Ametrine White Sapphire Due Gemme Pendant
About the Item
Ametrine is paired with white sapphire in this one-of-a-kind Due Gemme pendant. Ametrine (origin: Bolivia) is an unusual bi-color form of quartz, half amethyst and half citrine, thus the name ametrine. This gem is a wapping 54.55 carats. More common ametrine shows yellow on one end and purple on the other. This gem shows purple on both ends and a broad streak of yellow through the center. It is faceted and polished in a flashy portuguese cut. Supporting the gem and concealing the bail is a radiant cut white sapphire (origin: Thailand) of 5.20 carats. The mounting is hand fabricated 18k yellow gold. The bail is generous in size and will accommodate a variety of chains, omegas or hardwires.
