About the Item
who doesn't love the Paraiba tourmaline in the exceptional color swimming pool blue, with the Schmuckzicke logo, worked in 750 white gold, the star is the said oval Paraiba Tourmaline as pendant approx. 1. 75 ct, swimming pool blue, 10 x 6,5 mm, AAA, nice brilliance, color distribution very good, smaller bright liquid plumes, as Paraibas must be, shine also almost in the dark, discreetly set with 24 diamonds total approx. 0.20 ct, TW (fine white G) / SI-P ( small inclusions-deutl. inclusions), in 750 white gold mount, massive mugglige high-quality setting, approx. 3.3 grams heavy, without chain, dimensions of the pendant approx. 13.5 x 10 x 7 mm, new production, with large eyelet for chains and necklaces, matching stud earrings with two oval Paraiba tourmalines possible to get (not in price included)
About the tourmaline:
It is available in all price ranges, the most expensive being the Paraiba tourmaline from Brazil, followed by top gemstones from Africa and Afghanistan, which are enjoying growing popularity.
Like Paraiba tourmaline, the other types of tourmaline will see price increases over the years as large, flawless gemstones in top colors are rare and increasing demand is driving carat prices up.
I am all the more pleased to be able to use a cooperation with experienced gemologists and dealers on site in Afghanistan in order to buy up top stones while it is still possible.
The name tourmaline comes from the Sinhalese word tura mali, meaning "a mixed-colored stone", to the mineralogist, tourmalines are simply a group of silicate (boron silicate) minerals.
The color nuances are varied, from colourless, red, pink, green, yellow, blue to black.
A special feature is the pleochroism, the tourmaline appears in different colors depending on the viewing direction and the piezoelectric and pyroelectricity, opposite crystal ends are charged differently.
