About the Item
Beautiful blue round 'Bergslagen stone' necklace by Skreij JE Ab 1970s. Sweden
The stone has various shades of blue color and are originally the "leftovers" or slag of the iron production. This has been used since the 18th -19th centuries. The slag floats on top and is discharged from the blast furnace before the metal. The slag comes in all kinds of colors and structures can change from light blue over clear blue and dark blue via green to black.
Unique vintage pendant in very good vintage condition. Size: Total length of the chain (double) about 30 cm. Pendant: 3.5 cmD x 0,7cmH.
