18 Karat Yellow Gold Italian Trevi Fountain Pendant. The pendant features Oceanus, the Greek Titan of the oceans, and a seahorse and triton at each side. The pendant measures 32 tall x 31mm wide. This pendant weighs 29.3 grams. OKEANOS (Oceanus) was the primordial Titan of the great, earth-encircling River Okeanos, font of all of the earth's fresh-water - rivers, wells, springs, and rain-clouds. The ‘Fontana di Trevi’, or the Trevi Fountain is arguably the most famous fountain in the world. But what does the Baroque fountain mean? The fountain signifies the junction of three roads, the Trevi Fountain marks the final point of Aqua Virgo, one of the earliest aqueducts in Rome. The name of the fountain literally means “Three Street Fountain.” The center of the fountain features a statue of Oceanus being pulled by a chariot of two seahorses and Tritons (young gods of the sea). One of the horses is calm and obedient, the other is boisterous. They symbolize the changing tides of the sea. The two statues in the niches next to Oceanus represent Abundance to the left and Health to the right. During your city trip to Rome throw a coin into the fountain while keeping your eyes closed and tossing the coin from your left shoulder using your right hand and according to tradition this will happen.
