1890 Victorian Sterling Silver Enameled Buckle
About the Item
This stunning sterling silver and enamel buckle from the 1890 Victorian era is gorgeous. The enamel is in absolute incredible condition, especially for the age of the buckle. The finish of the sterling silver is also in amazing condition, with the high-wear areas still remaining in shape with its original coating. The buckle is split into two parts and are connected by a center sterling silver bar, located on the back of each side. When both sides of the buckle are connected, the connecting bar is hidden by the center enamel stripe going down the middle. The turquoise color of the enamel is extraordinary, reminiscent of the scales of the exotic turquoise rainbow fish.
