Antique 19th Century French Bronze and Glass Opaline Candlesticks

About the Item

This extraordinary and very rare pair of bronze and opaline glass twin branch candlesticks come from France and made circa 1880. Each candlestick decorated with a detailed bronze foliate decoration with two hummingbird figures to the base. A beloved bird to many, the hummingbird is a symbol of good luck, joy and playfulness, as well as adaptability. Measurements: 20 by 28.5cm high Condition: Visible repair to one of the bird and small loss to the leg, wear and marks due to age
