Pair of Extraordinary Antique Dutch Gold Asian Caricature Figurines on Bases
About the Item
This extremely well executed pair of Antique Asian Caricatures in traditional garb are unique in our experience. It is evident from the manner and dress of these small jewels, that this pair are from a noble social class. Each figure is approximately 1 3/4 inches in height and both rest upon a highly polished ebony base, bringing the total height to approximately 3 1/2 inches. Each bears a makers mark indicating that the pair were crafted of 14k gold in Holland, and released into the market between 1852 and 1906. This unique vanity item is absolutely captivating. Green felt pads cover each wooden base. Gross weight is 71.55 grams.
