Art Deco Enamel Ladies Powder Compact, Dubarry, c1930
About the Item
Offered for your consideration is this beautifully stylish Art Deco ladies powder compact by Dubarry . The case is made of chromium metal with machine turned pattern on the reverse with Dubarry name on the base. The lid is jet black enamel with central enamel floral applique in vibrant colours. The hinge and secure catch opens to reveal a framed clear and reflective mirror under the lid and open empty powder well in the base. Overall condition is very good having no dents or dings to the case or chips to the enamel. The chromium metal is bright and shiny and free from tarnishing. There are some light surface scratches to the black enamel which is line with it's age and only noticeable in a certain angle/light.
