Contemporary, individually conceived, handcrafted fine 22k gold jewelry, with a touch of history and art. We learn of past civilizations through the jewelry they've left behind. I create jewelry to convey my life experiences, my idea of beauty, and to inspire a confidence in the wearer. Admiring classical shapes and proportions I merge them with a bold simplicity to give my pieces a modern feeling that coordinates well for everyday wear, while maintaining drama for special occasions. Using pre-Classical hand fabrication techniques I am able to introduce unique details to each piece and to keep the production environmentally sensitive. The stylistic naturalism introduced in the Classical and Hellenistic periods motivates me to experiment with the metal surface and the stone settings. I draw further inspiration from natural stones and art objects, such as mosaics, antique coins, and carvings. The stones and objects become the palette with which I paint my picture. I design by making, not fully knowing what the final piece will be. Allowing nature guide the design process results in a unique piece of modern jewelry. I have been designing and hand fabricating a small line of one-of-a-kind jewelry for about 10 years. The early pieces I mostly made for myself, my daughters and friends. Then expanded, growing my brand on Facebook and Instagram and selling my jewelry through a gallery in California and my NYC studio. Now, I am introducing my collection here, on 1stdibs
