This sleek unisex 18K white gold ring features seven bright green demantoid garnets and would make the perfect wedding band or stack ring. Created by hand most likely in the late 1980s or early 1990s, this timeless classic is endlessly captivating because the seven gemstones it features are among the rarest and most prized in the world. The demantoid gems measure approximately 3 - 4.5mm and weigh a total of approximately 1.72 carats. Perfect as an everyday fashion ring, a stacking band or even a brilliantly (literally) unique wedding band for someone of any gender!
The demantoid garnet is one of the rarest and most valuable gemstones on earth. It is a unique and lustrous gemstone characterized by its bright green hue and vivid dispersion that surpasses even diamonds, making the rare green gemstone even more fire-filled. Demantoid garnets were first discovered in the Ural Mountains of Russia in the mid-19th century and can now be found in other parts of the world, such as India and Namibia. I believe the stones in this ring are from Namibia. Demantoid garnets are almost always found in sizes under one carat.
