A versatile assortment of stacking rings hand-fabricated by master jewelry makers Petra Class and Barbara Heinrich featuring an array of natural gemstones and diamonds set in high-karat gold. Barbara Heinrich's three round brilliant-cut white diamond rings in 18k yellow gold (diagonal bar, solitaire, and channel-set eternity band) showcase channel and bezel-set round brilliant-cut white diamonds totaling 0.69 carats. Petra Class debuts five rings in this stack, including a trillion-cut tanzanite set in 22k yellow gold atop an 18k yellow gold band, an oval emerald cabochon framed in 22k gold atop an 18k gold band, a round ruby cabochon framed in 22k gold atop an 18k gold band, a full-cut round pink sapphire set in 22k gold atop an 18k gold band, and a 22k gold bead atop an 18k gold band. Selling her pieces on the streets of her hometown, Barbara knew that she would be designing for the rest of her life, as “the inspiration has always been with me.” After graduating with a master’s degree from RIT, she discovered a perfect balance between geometric lines and organic shapes, a balance that ultimately allowed her to “communicate with her viewers on a spiritual plane.” She never worries about running out of ideas, and only hopes that her creations “speak to you and that their beauty and uniqueness touch the beauty and uniqueness within you.” On display at the American Museum of Natural History, Barbara’s styling emphasizes versatility, sophistication, and a true drive for exceptionalism. Petra Class acquired her jewelry training in Germany. She spent several years creating tableware, and her approach to her craft is strongly influenced by the European tradition of applied art. Petra’s jewelry is infinitely wearable, communicating her own sensibilities and a contemporary aesthetic. Petra's work reflects definite themes: the rhythmical arrangements of multiple elements; repetition of similar forms or colors; the unexpected contrasts of differently textured materials.
