18th Century Turquoise Gold Witch’s Heart Ring

About the Item

Love and Fidelity , very rare and early Witch’s Heart Ring. With gorgeous, moody, round Turquoise, it is a one-of-kind treasure. Witch’s Hearts were used in jewelry from the Medieval times when they were purchased as talismans for protection. Over the centuries, their meaning transformed into the more sentimental purposes such as love, fidelity, friendship and loyalty. This beauty likely signifies love and fidelity. Dating to Circa 1690-1710, it is in wonderful, antique condition with nominal wear to the stones, setting and ring. Triple shoulders with granulated beads support the ring. The shanks bears early hallmarks that I cannot decipher. Mounted in 18kt yellow gold. Finger size 6 1/2 Weight: 5.63gr.
