About the Item

Beautiful more than century old Halo Ring in solid 18K Yellow Gold with natural and untreated Blue Sapphire and 16 old European cut Diamonds in White Gold or Silver settings. Untreated natural Sapphire of old European diamond cut, color is Blue of medium strength, demonstrates distinctive color zoning under x 10 magnification. Sapphire measures: Ø 5.5 mm x 3 mm deep / ca. 0.66 ct. 13 Diamonds, all old European cut: 10 stones circa Ø 2.5 mm / 0,06 ct each + 6 on the shoulders ca. 1.5 mm / ca. 0.015 ct. each.The total weight of diamonds here ca. 0.7ctw. Color ca. F,G /VS GIA scale. All stones have open backs. The floret/ crown measures 9 mm x 4 mm deep .. Hallmarked 18K, Swedish Ring. The maker is GD& Co, city of Malmo. Marks of the year on this ring Q7 = made in 1918. Size: Ø 7 US / Ø 17.35 mm.Weight: 2.4 grams Used condition. Patina on metal. Sapphire with no signs of wear to facets. No diamond replacements, one diamond has a small chip on the table facet.
