About the Item

A fine and impressive vintage French 1.65 carat natural emerald and 0.80 carat diamond, 18 carat yellow gold trilogy ring; an addition to our vintage jewelry and estate jewelry collections. This fine and impressive vintage emerald and diamond ring has been crafted in 18ct yellow gold. The pierced decorated setting is ornamented with a central 1.65 ct square faceted cut emerald, claw set in relief to the center of the design. The feature emerald is flanked on either side by an impressive individually three claw set trillion brilliant cut diamond. The plain tapering ring shoulders integrate into the claw setting and blend seamlessly with the plain 18 carat yellow gold hallmarked shank. The ring is hallmarked to the outer surface of the shank with the French mark for 18ct gold (eagle's head) and the maker's mark. This 1980's emerald ring is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card. "Rather than regarding inclusions in colored stones as harmful, in small sizes and numbers that do not in any way detract from their beauty, they should be regarded as adding to desirability, for they provide identifying characteristics." The French eagle head hallmark is clear and the maker's mark has worn in keeping with age.
