About the Item

Beautiful Platinum, Blue Sapphire + Diamonds Halo Flower Ring from 1920 -1930s. Likely German,all metal parts of this ring are made of solid Platinum. Crown measures 17 mm x 12 mm x 5 mm. Oval cut natural Blue Sapphire stone of darker tone is surrounded with 22 old diamond cut Diamonds and flanked with 6 additional diamonds on the shoulders. Sapphire is 12 mm x 7 mm x 4.25 mm deep / about 4 ct. Angular color zoning of this Blue is visible under x 10 magnification - this stone was not treated in any way. Each diamond about Ø 2 mm / 0.04ct / x 28 = ca. 1 ctw total weight . Color circa F,G / VVS,VS. All stones have open backs. Metal was tested solid Platinum, no hallmarks. Size : Ø 6.25 US scale / about 16.71 mm. Sizing is possible. Weight: 4.3 grams. Condition is fine used. No stones missing. The Sapphire has minor wear to some facets / visible under x 10 magnification only and not noticeable to naked eye. > Most of the items that we sell are not new at all if not stated otherwise. Stones with closed backs may seem darker than stones with open backs. Such nuances of color perception do not give any excuse to claim item to be not as described.
