Art Deco 1.10 Diamond and Sapphire Target Ring, c1930s
About the Item
A wonderful 1.10 carat old cut diamond is enveloped in a ring of sapphires in this Art Deco target ring. The central diamond is rub over set with milgrain detailing across the setting. The surrounding circle of sapphires totals to 0.63 carat of intricately placed french cut stones, creating the unbroken ring of vivid blue amongst the clean white of the diamonds and platinum setting. A diamond halo completes the target, featuring a further 0.90 carat of eight stones. All the diamonds match in quality, with a colour of I and a clarity of VS2. Down each shoulder, adding a little extra sparkle a further three diamonds are set, totalling 0.06 carat. An intricately crafted open basket allows plenty of light behind the stones really allowing them to shine. A slim band of platinum finished the design immaculately in this 1930s piece.
