About the Item
Frederick Marshall is an award winning studio art jeweler, the recipient of the National Endowment for the Arts/Mid-Atlantic Art Foundation Fellowship and of the NJ State Council on the Arts Fellowship. His work has appeared in numerous publications and museum exhibitions. He works in a sculptural formant, drawing his inspiration from ancient art and the modern world. Organic forms and multi-colored gemstones feature prominently in his jewels.
The highly original design of this striking ring features a pair of tourmaline nodules on each side of a roughly textured gold nugget formation encrusted with a cabochon ruby, emerald and sapphire. The back of the ring, horse shoe shaped with a beautiful lightly textured finish.
Signed on the interior in script F. Marshal 14K '87
Excellent condition, tourmalines with good color, ruby well polished, even color, the emerald and sapphire with natural inclusions.
