Victorian 0.50ct Sapphire and Diamond Halo Ring, c.1880s
About the Item
A glistening example of Victorian fine craftsmanship this halo ring features a central sapphire surrounded by nine old cut diamonds. The beautiful central sapphire is a 0.50 carat old cut gem, firmly claw set in the 18 carat yellow gold mount. Each of the surrounding diamonds are 0.10 carat in weight and match in colour, being estimated as H. The clarity ranges from VS to SI. The ring's shoulders are adorned with elegant carving work, really setting this piece out from the crowd.
