We are delighted to offer this large and majestic 18ct gold garnet ring made in the early Victorian period c.1840. Distinctly antique and exquisitely designed, this ring features a large garnet cabochon set in 18ct gold with a central diamond set in a gold star mount. Such intricate and sensational design truly comes to life upon wearing this ring under natural lighting as the round cabochon allows for the light to reflect in many different tones with the bright sparkle of the diamond to contrast and complete its delightful appearance. The wonderful lustres range from a dark maroon to a red depending on the angle of the lighting. In low-light situations such as at late-night events, parties or even candlelight the garnet and diamond create a further unique and contrasted appearance that presents an aura of mystique and unparalleled elegance. In addition to its classical elegance and distinguished Victorian flair, we believe that such timeless pieces can be surprisingly complimentary to modern style and design. The diamond chip is exceptionally hard to see with the naked eye and does not affect the overall shine/lustre of the ring, however, is mentioned for accuracy.
